NASHVILLE, Tenn. — The Mets have cast a wide net in their efforts to bolster the starting rotation.
On that front, the team is among those in the mix for Erick Fedde, the top pitcher in the Korean Baseball Organization last season, according to industry sources.
The Post’s Jon Heyman reported the Mets, White Sox, Royals, Cardinals, Pirates, Padres and A’s are among the teams pursuing the 30-year-old Fedde, who previously spent six seasons with the Nationals.
The right-hander went 20-6 with a 2.00 ERA in 30 starts last season for the NC Dinos in the KBO.
In his final season with the Nationals, in 2022, he pitched to a 5.81 ERA in 27 starts.
The Mets’ top pitching target this offseason has been Japanese ace Yoshinobu Yamamoto, who is expected to meet in person with teams after the winter meetings.
The Mets are also interested in Japanese left-hander Shota Imanaga, who has been posted by the Yokohama BayStars.
Luis Severino was signed last week to a one-year contract worth $13 million as the Mets’ first rotation addition this winter.
