Mets trade Mark Canha to Brewers in latest deadline sale

Mark Canha finally has his trade deadline clarity, the kind he’d been vocal about wanting as the Mets’ sale began.

The Mets traded the veteran outfielder to Milwaukee in exchange for minor-league pitcher Justin Jarvis, according to The Post’s Joel Sherman.

It’s the latest piece moved ahead of Tuesday’s 6 p.m. deadline by the Mets, with Canha joining closer David Robertson (Marlins) and co-ace Max Scherzer (Rangers) as those moved out of Queens.

Canha signed with the Mets following the 2021 season on a two-year deal with a club option for 2024, adding a right-handed bat to the lineup.

He spent the first seven seasons of his career with the A’s.

He’s hitting .245 with a .725 OPS through 89 games.
