The Brooklyn Nets have hit the skids of late by losing four straight games as they welcome the defending NBA champion Denver Nuggets to Barclays Center on Friday.
The most recent defeat came against the rival Knicks on Wednesday in a 121-102 home setback.
Brooklyn’s offense has struggled during this span as the Nets shot 37% from the floor against the Knicks, including a 4-of-21 effort from Mikal Bridges.
The Nuggets continue their three-game road trip before returning home to battle the Warriors on Christmas Day.
Denver held off Toronto on Wednesday, 113-104, behind 31 points from Nikola Jokic.
Denver knocked off Brooklyn at Ball Arena, 124-101, on Dec. 14. The Nuggets easily covered as nine-point favorites, marking the fourth victory in the last five meetings between the teams since 2022.
In spite of not covering the spread in the last four games, the Nets still own one of the top records against the number this season at 17-9-1.
The Nuggets have covered the number in five of the last six games, including three straight on the road.
It’s tough to make an argument for the Nets right now with their current struggles on the offensive end. They’ve scored 108 points or fewer in three of the last four games.
Bridges has finished under his points total in seven straight games, while not scoring more than 18 points in any of the past four contests.
