NFL Week 13 odds, picks, best bets

Both the Falcons and Jets own losing records heading into Sunday’s interconference matchup at Met Life Stadium.

The Falcons sit tied atop the NFC South with the Saints at 5-6, with Atlanta holding the tiebreaker and de facto division lead.

On the flip side, the Jets are likely going to miss the playoffs once again at 4-7, with the only question remaining this season being whether or not Aaron Rodgers will suit up again.

Rodgers is out again this week as he continues his comeback from a torn Achilles’ tendon sustained in Week 1.

Tim Boyle makes his second straight start in place of the ineffective Zach Wilson at quarterback.

Boyle couldn’t get much offense going in their Black Friday loss to the Dolphins.

The Jets were blown out by Miami, 34-13, despite picking up an interception return for a touchdown in the final minutes of the first half.

Boyle hooked up with Garrett Wilson on a short touchdown connection in the fourth quarter, marking the third offensive touchdown for the Jets in the past five games.

The Falcons ended a three-game slide in last week’s 24-15 home victory over the Saints.

Atlanta allowed fewer than 25 points for the first time in four games while limiting New Orleans to five field goals in the win.

The Falcons are listed as a two-point road favorite across the board heading into Sunday, and the total sits at 33.5.

Betting on the NFL?

Atlanta owns a dreadful 2-6 against the spread record this season in the favorite role, including an 0-2 mark on the road.

For as bad as the Jets’ offense has been this season, it’s tough to trust Atlanta’s erratic offense to put up a bunch of points on this Gang Green defense.

Let’s back the Jets here as a home underdog against the Falcons.

The play: Jets +2
