Ole Miss coach Lane Kiffin shares rare photo of girlfriend

Lane Kiffin celebrated National Girlfriend Day by giving fans a peek into his relationship with Sally Rychlak.

The Ole Miss head football coach, 48, shared a photo of himself and Rychlak on Twitter Tuesday in honor of the holiday that’s celebrated every Aug. 1.

“Happy #NationalGirlfriendDay,” Kiffin wrote, adding a purple heart emoji.

“I actually think we should just be friends!” joked Rychlak, who “liked” the photo on Twitter.

When one user asked, “You got a sister?” Kiffin responded, “4 of them,” along with a bunch of crying-laughing emojis.

Rychlak appeared in a second post with Juice Kiffin, the family’s dog, who is a staple at Rebels practices.

“Thx juice but I’m not your gf,” Rychlak responded.

Over the weekend, Rychlak retweeted a post from the Saturday Down South account that read: “Lane Kiffin & Ole Miss became the 1st CFB program to implement mental health training this off-season. Amazing.”

Kiffin and Rychlak have been dating since at least February, according to her Twitter account, which features photos of the pair.

Rychlak posted a tribute to Kiffin on his 48th birthday in May, when she included a photo of the couple fishing on a boat together.

“Happy birthday @Lane_Kiffin,” she captioned the photo, which showed Kiffin holding a massive fish. “Maybe this is the year you can beat me in a 40yd dash.”

It is believed to be the first time Kiffin went public with a relationship following his divorce from wife Layla Kiffin in 2016.

Kiffin told Fox Sports in 2016 the split was mutual and that he and Layla — who he wed in 2004 when coaching at USC — would continue to co-parent their three kids: daughters Landry (born 2005) and Presley (born 2007), and son Knox (born 2009).

“After a lot of careful thought and consideration, Layla and I have mutually decided to divorce,” said Kiffin, who was the Alabama offensive coordinator at the time. “We are fully committed to our kids’ future being our No. 1 priority.

“We will maintain an amicable relationship with respect for each other as we raise these three wonderful children. We will have no further comments and appreciate respect for our family’s privacy.”

Kiffin led the Rebels to three straight bowl appearances, while going 23-13 in three seasons in Oxford.

Ole Miss opens the season at home against Mercer on Sept. 2.
