Olivia Dunne is about to break the internet with the latest buzz about her love life.
The star LSU gymnast is rumored to be dating MLB rookie Paul Skenes — the No. 1 overall pick by the Pittsburgh Pirates in the 2023 MLB draft — who impressed in his debut for the Florida Coast League Pirates on Thursday.
While MLB Twitter was praising the right-hander, who threw 10 fastballs that ranged between 99 and 101 mph, some were curious if Dunne was in attendance.
It’s unclear if the influencer was at the game, as Dunne was in New York City for “business” and a reunion with fellow social media star Katie Sigmond, according to posts on her Instagram Story on Thursday.
Dunne, 20, and Skenes, 21, sparked romance rumors late last month when she shared a photo of herself wearing a Pirates hat while in Bradenton, the same city in Florida where the pitcher is currently assigned to the FCL Pirates.
Some internet sleuths also noticed a baseball glove on the table in Dunne’s photo that appeared similar to the Marucci black glove Skenes used at LSU.
Dunne and Skenes have yet to address the romance buzz.
The pair was not believed to be linked while Skenes attended LSU.
Dunne frequents Florida as her grandparents now live in Jensen Beach, which is about a three-hour drive to Bradenton.
The gymnast — who is currently the NCAA’s highest-paid female athlete, earning seven figures — rose to TikTok fame during the pandemic with videos of her doing gymnastics in Jensen Beach.
Skenes pitched one scoreless inning in his minor league debut, retiring three batters, including designated hitter Walker Jenkins, the No. 5 overall pick in this year’s draft.
The former LSU ace is already the No. 3 prospect and top pitcher in the minors, according to MLB.com, which estimates he’ll be in the majors next year.
He was selected No. 1 overall ahead of his teammate, Dylan Crews, who went second to the Washington Nationals.
Skenes started his college career at Air Force, where he went 10-4 with a 2.72 ERA, before transferring to LSU last offseason.
He finished his only season with the Tigers with a 12-2 record and a 1.69 ERA, and he led all of NCAA Division with 209 strikeouts against 20 walks in 122 2/3 innings.
LSU won the 2023 Men’s College World Series over Florida in June.
Skenes was named National Player of the Year and he was a consensus First Team All-American.
Last month, Skenes signed a record rookie contract, which included a $9.2 million signing bonus, the largest in MLB Draft history.
