It’s safe to say Patrick Mahomes approves of Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift’s whirlwind romance.
In a preview for an upcoming interview with “CBS Mornings,” the Chiefs quarterback explained “how cool” his teammate’s girlfriend is, and gushed over Swift’s friendship with his wife, Brittany Mahomes.
“At first, I feel like everybody stayed away and just let [Kelce] do what he was doing,” Mahomes said when ex-NFLer turned “CBS Mornings” host Nate Burleson asked if the tight end addressed his relationship in the locker room.
“But then he started bringing Taylor around and you realized how cool a person she was.
“For us [teammates] there were a couple of jokes in the beginning, but now it’s just she’s part of Chiefs Kingdom now, she’s part of the team,” Mahomes said of Swift.
“It’s cool that she’s embraced Brittany and they’ve built a friendship as well.”
Mahomes went on to praise his best friend, Kelce — who was a groomsman in his and Brittany’s wedding in Hawaii in March 2022 — and Swift for being a good match.
“For me, it’s Travis man and he’s lucky enough to be with great girl and a great woman, and it’s been cool to kind of interact with her and see — because she’s top-tier at her profession and see how she drives and she becomes that.

“It’s really cool to hear about and see and now I have a first-hand look at that through Brittany and Travis’ eyes.
“It is really cool, and I’m glad she’s the person that she is, and that’s why I think she and Travis match so well.”
Swift and Brittany were spotted hanging out on numerous occasions after the singer attended the Chiefs-Bears game at Arrowhead Stadium on Sept. 24.
Since then, the pair has been seen sharing sweet embraces at Chiefs games — including the signature handshake they debuted when Kansas City beat the Chargers at home on Oct. 22.
The 12-time Grammy winner and KC Current co-owner were photographed holding hands on girls’ nights out in New York City last month while the Chiefs were in Germany for the NFL’s international game against the Dolphins.
That was the same weekend Swift hosted some of the significant others of Chiefs players at her Tribeca apartment to watch the game, including Paige Buechele, wife of backup quarterback Shane Buechele, and Lyndsay Bell, who’s married to tight end Blake Bell.
Kelce and Swift have been seen out with Mahomes and Brittany in Kansas City through the season and in-between her “Eras Tour” schedule.
The group was spotted leaving Miracle, a Christmas pop-up bar in Kansas City, following the Chiefs’ 20-17 loss against the Buffalo Bills on Dec. 10.
Swift will be in attendance when the Chiefs host the Raiders on Christmas Day, and for their home game against the Bengals at Arrowhead Stadium on New Year’s Eve, according to Page Six.
