She’s no longer tired of being compared to Britney Spears.
Pink subtly showed support for Britney Spears, whose husband, Sam Asghari, has filed for divorce after a year of marriage, in a public way Wednesday night.
During the Detroit stop of her “Summer Carnival” tour, Pink, 43, changed just one word of her 2001 song “Don’t Let Me Get Me” to show love to the 41-year-old “Toxic” superstar.
Instead of singing “Tired of being compared to damn Britney Spears,” she sang “sweet Britney Spears.”
“She’s so pretty / That just ain’t me,” the rest of the line goes.
The Post has reached out to reps for Pink for comment.
In February, Pink spoke to People about how the lyric had been “Missundaztood” for years now.
“People think I was picking on Britney on ‘Don’t Let Me Get Me,’ but I’ve always felt like a big sister to her,” she claimed. “I’m very protective of her, and she’s the sweetest person in the world.”
Pink and the “Toxic” singer memorably joined forces along with Beyoncé in a 2003 Pepsi Super Bowl commercial in which they sang Queen’s “We Will Rock You.”
Asghari confirmed Thursday that he and the “Toxic” singer are ending “their journey together” amid the news that he filed for divorce.
“There are many claims that Sam is challenging the prenup and threatening to exploit his ex-wife with videos,” his rep told The Post.
“However, all these claims are false, as no negative intention has ever been directed towards her and never will be. Sam has always and will always support her,” they added.
The pair got engaged in September 2021 and married on June 9, 2022.
