Matthew Perry was always there for Sarah Paulson.
The “American Horror Story” star stopped by “The View” on Tuesday, where she only had loving things to say about the late “Friends” cast member — her co-star in the NBC series “Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip.”
“I just remember him as one of the most generous people on the planet,” Paulson, 48, said of Perry, who died Oct. 28 at age 54.
Paulson recalled the time Perry helped prepare her to audition for the much-hyped — and ultimately ill-fated — Aaron Sorkin drama, which aired for just one season, from 2006 to 2007.
“I was at a particular place in my career where I needed that job very desperately and [Matthew], because of his friendship with Amanda Peet, who was my best friend at the time, who was also on the show, they had done a movie together called ‘The Whole Nine Yards,” the Emmy-winner explained.
“So he asked me to meet him in the parking lot for my final audition, and I got in his car and he ran the whole scene with me multiple times so that I could have a leg up on the other performer. And I did get the job. So, I sort of credit him with taking that extra time, and he absolutely did not need to do that.”
Paulson also said the late funnyman “was just the kind of person that if you made him laugh or if you made him smile, you felt like you had really arrived.”
“I had the great pleasure of making him laugh a couple of times and it made me feel really good,” she gushed. “He’s a wonderful guy.”
Back in 2021, Paulson told Jimmy Kimmel that Perry once rejected her at a “makeout party” hosted by Carrie Fisher.
“There was a hat with names in it, and you were supposed to make out with whomever’s name you pulled out of the hat,” Paulson told the late-night host, claiming Shirley MacLaine and Queen Latifah were also at the event.
“Matthew Perry pulled my name out of the hat and then promptly left the room,” she claimed.
Later during her appearance on “The View” Tuesday, Paulson gushed about her girlfriend Holland Taylor, 80, claiming she had a photo of the octogenarian “Two and a Half Men” star on her refrigerator for 10 years before they started dating in 2015.
