He’s not feeling the ken-ergy.
Simu Liu, 34, who is a Marvel star and was also one of the Kens in the hit “Barbie” movie, announced on his Instagram Story on Thursday that he had to drop out of a planned appearance in Disney World’s 2023 Candlelight Processional, due to unspecified “health scares.”
“I’m so absolutely gutted to have to drop out,” he wrote.
The Candlelight Processional retells the Christmas story with a celebrity narrator, orchestra and choir.
It was scheduled to be narrated by Liu from Nov. 30 through Dec. 2.
Singer Bart Millard will narrate this year, replacing Liu.
Other stars who are set to narrate the Candlelight Processional at Epcot this year include Brendan Fraser, Neil Patrick Harris, Sterling K. Brown, John Stamos and Eva Longoria.
“For those who were looking forward to seeing me, know that I was equally looking forward to be a part of your holidays,” Liu wrote.
“The health of myself and my family are of paramount importance to me. And so, after some health scares, I’ve made the difficult decision to stay at home.”
Liu, who is currently dating digital marketing manager Allison Hsu, did not specify what his “health scares” were. But in October, he shared on his Instagram that he tore his Achilles tendon, and on Nov. 16, he attended the 2023 GQ Men of the Year event wearing a leg brace.
Liu ended his note with optimism, writing, “Something tells me this isn’t the last you’ve seen of me at Candlelight, though…let’s all keep fingers crossed for 2024!”
The Post reached out to Liu for comment.
