Sinead O’Connor, the “Nothing Compares 2 U” singer, has died at the age of 56.
She released 10 studio albums.
Her rendition of Prince’s “Nothing Compares 2 U” was named the number one world single in 1990 at the Billboard Music Awards. The won a Grammy the following year for her album “I Do Not Want What I Haven’t Got.”
O’Connor is survived by three children. Her son, Shane, died last year at 17.
