While we still await any details surrounding Skrillex‘s elusive sophomore album, he’s slid back into collaborative focus with a one-off delivery, joining hyperpop duo 100 gecs on a brand new joint effort, “Torture Me,” released on the group’s new EP, Snake Eyes. The avant-garde collaboration marks Skrillex’s second widespread release of 2022 (excluding his production credit on BEAM’s “BLESSINGS“), the last one being his May-released twofer containing “Horizon,” featuring Noisia, Thys, and Sleepnet, and “Supersonice (VIP),” with assistance from Noisia, josh pan, and Dylan Brady. And “Torture Me” may not be his last, with “Rumble” being teased in recent weeks, raising hopes that it’ll land before 2023 hits.
100 gecs’ surprise Snake Eyes EP precedes the outfit’s looming sophomore studio album, 10,000 gecs, which is due next year on March 14. Now streaming everywhere via Dog Show Records, stream “Torture Me (feat. Skrillex)” and the full three-piece Snake Eyes EP below.
