‘SNL’ mocks royal family’s Christmas card Photoshop fail

Give ’em a hand.

“Saturday Night Live” mocked Prince William and Kate Middleton’s new Christmas card after several eagle-eyed royal watchers noticed that Prince Louis, 5, is missing a middle finger.

“A Christmas photo released by the royal family features a bad Photoshop job where Prince Louis’ finger appears to be missing,” “Weekend Update” co-anchor Colin Jost said Saturday.

“And this is sweet,” added Jost, 41. “Meghan Markle said she has a finger they can use if they need it.”

The punchline was met with a loud outburst of laughter, forcing Jost to crack a grin.

Jost’s snarky remark comes one week after the Prince and Princess of Wales, both 41, posted the black-and-white photo featuring themselves and their three children — Prince George, 10, Princess Charlotte, 8, and Louis — on Instagram.

“Our family Christmas card for 2023,” the couple wrote as a caption.

In a statement released by the family, they noted they were “very pleased to share a new photograph of their family.”

Several netizens quickly gave a thumbs down to the holiday card, pointing out the missing appendage.

“Wait where is Louis’ middle finger,” one user posted on X.

“Louis is missing a finger, this has got to be the worst photoshopped pic ever,” a second person chimed in.

It is possible that the young royal — who has shown a penchant for being mischievous — could simply be bending his finger back.

Either way, many fans of the royals were left scratching their heads, with William and Kate reportedly “embarrassed” by the missing digit.

“[They] were as shocked as everyone else,” an unidentified source told Us Weekly last week.

For his part, photographer Josh Shinner reflected on the portrait shoot in an Instagram post.

“It was such a pleasure to photograph The Prince and Princess of Wales and their family for the Christmas portrait this year,” he wrote. “Without doubt one of the most relaxed and enjoyable sittings I’ve ever had, and I now have a whole new set of jokes that are right on my level thanks to the children.”

Shinner also shared an original sketch of his vision for the photo.

The final product was criticized by social media users who joked that the family of five look like a JCPenney ad.

A second user blasted the lack of holiday cheer.

“Gotta love all the CHRISTMAS decor in the background,” the person sarcastically spat, referring to the blank background. “Just screams Christmas all over.”
