Solomun has unveiled two remixes of Jamie xx’s track ‘Waited All Night,’ released today via Young. The original, featured on Jamie’s acclaimed 2024 album In Waves, reunited him with Romy Madley Croft and Oliver Sim for the first time since The xx’s 2017 record I See You. The track quickly became a live highlight, with standout performances at Glastonbury and Jamie’s LIDO festival.
Fans had speculated about the remixes for months, after both artists teased versions during their DJ sets. Known for his influential Solomun +1 residency at Pacha Ibiza, his Diynamic label, and high-profile festival appearances, Solomun injected his signature deep and melodic sound into the reworks. Each remix offers a distinct journey, designed to elevate Jamie’s original into club-ready territory.
“Jamie and I have been friends for a while,” Solomun explained. “His latest album really blew me away. Choosing just one track to remix wasn’t easy, but with Romy and Oliver’s incredible voices the inspiration came quickly. In the end, I delivered two versions, and I’m thrilled they’re finally coming out.”
Jamie reflected on the collaboration, adding: “I’ve been playing with Solomun at his night at Pacha once a year for some time now. A year ago he texted me his first remix and I loved it. Then he sent me another one out of the blue! Both are so good, and I’ve played them almost every show.”
