Taylor Swift fans fire back at criticism with Chiefs in turmoil

There’s some bad blood now.

Fans defended Taylor Swift this week after NFL critics piled on following boyfriend Travis Kelce’s Chiefs loss on Christmas Day.

Swift, who made her eighth game-day appearance Monday, was likened to “Yoko Ono” by Outkick’s Clay Travis, while Skip Bayless suggested she’s “a distraction” amid Kansas City’s ongoing woes.

Supporters weren’t buying these takes, with one X user offering a fierce response to Bayless and the “Undisputed” crew on Tuesday.

“Yeah, wide receiver coach Taylor Swift is really stuffing their season up isn’t she? What? She’s not a coach? She’s a boyfriend of one of the players? Then it’s nothing to do with her you weird, old misogynistic idiots,” X user @SteH90 wrote.

A separate user also posted on X, “The Chiefs are 9-6 and leading their division. But somehow because they lost three more games than last year it’s Taylor Swifts fault? How about the rest of the league has had enough time to scout [quarterback Patrick] Mahomes and to come up with better schemes against him?”

“Please remind me when Taylor Swift has ever played for the Kansas City Chiefs,” another user penned.

Former NFL running back Merril Hoge also took issue with Swift, 34, being seen as the scapegoat.

“It’s irrelevant. That’s a media twist. That’s actually just to tell you how weak and stupid media is and people are,” Hoge said to Outkick’s Dan Dakich, according to Fox News.

Nothing went right for the Chiefs on Monday in what was a sloppy outing from the defending Super Bowl champs that featured two Raiders defensive touchdowns within seconds of each other in Las Vegas’ 20-14 win.

Kelce, who has been dating Swift since the summer, also tossed his helmet in frustration on the sideline during the game.

“I gotta keep my f–king cool because as a leader on this team that’s not how you switch the momentum,” Kelce said Wednesday on the “New Heights” podcast that he hosts with his brother, Eagles center Jason Kelce.

Media personalities had a field day after the Chiefs’ latest loss — their third in the past four games — with Travis comparing Swift to Ono, who was blamed by many as the reason the Beatles split up.

“The Chiefs are not a good football team and Travis Kelce looks like he should retire. He’s been worthless the last seven or eight weeks. The double worthless Pfizer shots may have caught up with him. Either that or Taylor Swift is the Chiefs’ Yoko Ono. Maybe both,” Travis said of Ono, who was married to John Lennon until he was killed.

With two games left in the regular season, Kelce knows the Chiefs have to get it together if they hope to run it back at the Super Bowl in February.

“Every single day we’re going in here fixing it, I promise you guys, it’s not just one guy, it’s not just me playing like dog s–t, it’s not just not being able to get the run game going, it’s not just us not being on the same page passing wise, everybody’s in this f–king thing together,” he said Wednesday.

The Chiefs host the Bengals on Sunday before closing out the regular season against the Chargers on Jan. 7.

Page Six reported last week that Swift will spend the holidays with Kelce, with a source telling the outlet, “She’ll for sure be at the games.”
