Long live the Eras Tour.
Taylor Swift released a live recording of her hit “Cruel Summer” Wednesday as a thank you to Swifties for earning the Eras Tour concert movie over $123.5 million at the worldwide box office since Thursday.
“What a truly mind blowing thing you’ve turned The Eras Tour Concert Film into,” Swift, 33, wrote on her social media.
“I’ve been watching videos of you guys in the theaters dancing and prancing and recreating choreography, creating inside jokes, casting spells, getting engaged, and just generally creating the exact type of joyful chaos we’re known for.”
She continued, “One of my favorite things you’ve done was when you supported Cruel Summer SO much, I ended up starting The Eras Tour show with it. For old times sake, I’m releasing the live audio from the tour so we can all shriek it in the comfort of our homes and cars PLUS a brand new remix by LP Giobbi.”
“Thank you, so much, forever, wow, just thank you!!!” Swift signed off.
Fans could not contain their excitement — and begged Swift for more live releases.
“Don’t be scared taylor drop the rest of the live audios!!” one fan account begged on X, the platform previously known as Twitter.
“WE LOVE YOU THANK U FOR THIS,” another cried tears of joy.
“That ‘oh hi’ is my new personality!!!” another referenced Swift greeting the crowd in the live version.
The Eras Tour kicked off in Glendale, Arizona, on March 17.
When it’s all said and done, Swift will play 146 dates across five continents.
The final show of the tour will be Nov. 23, 2024, at Rogers Centre in Toronto.
