Taylor Swift has tied herself to rumored beau Travis Kelce with a very visible string at Arrowhead Stadium tonight.
Swift, 33, was seen wearing an Eras Tour-inspired friendship bracelet with Kelce’s jersey number on it in the Chiefs’ suite on Sunday, where she was spotted alongside Patrick Mahomes’ wife, Brittany, and their 11-month-old son Patrick ‘Bronze’ Levon.
The gold beaded bracelet — possibly a reference to the single band of gold mentioned in Swift’s song Invisible String — has Kelce’s number, 87, surrounded by two red hearts.
Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s rumored relationship has a special connection to friendship bracelets.
Kelce first sparked speculation of the budding romance while talking about Swift’s concert on the podcast “New Heights,” which he hosts with his brother, Jason Kelce.
While speaking about the tour, Kelce first said he was disappointed that Swift opted not to speak to anyone before the show to save her voice.
“I was a little butt-hurt that I didn’t get to hand her one of the bracelets I made for her,” Kelce said. “I wanted to give Taylor Swift one with my number on it.”
When asked if he meant his jersey number or cell phone number, Kelce responded, “You know which one,” with a smirk.
Jason Kelce gifted his brother another friendship bracelet this week that read “on the map,” an apparent nod to the stars’ budding romance with Swift.
Swift had attended three of the past four Chiefs games to support Kelce, all of which the Chiefs have won, before attending Sunday, too.
The bracelets have become a staple for fans attending the Eras Tour because of a song on Swift’s most recent album, Midnights, entitled “You’re on Your Own, Kid,” which has lyrics that include “so make the friendship bracelets, take the moment and taste it, you’ve got no reason to be afraid.”
Fans began wearing and trading bracelets while attending Swift’s concerts, even giving them to her VIP guests, including Kelce, who said he received “a bunch.”
Swift, who is known for placing hidden messages for her fans, could be confirming the relationship with this accessory.
