Everyone needs to calm down.
Taylor Swift’s rep is slamming rumors that the singer and ex Joe Alwyn were married before splitting in April after six years together.
Tree Paine spoke out on Thursday when the anonymous Instagram account DeuxMoi claimed that Swift and the British actor, 32, had a “marriage” ceremony in 2020 or 2021.
“Enough is enough with these fabricated lies about Taylor from Deuxmoi. There was NEVER a marriage or ceremony of ANY kind. This is an insane thing to post,” Paine wrote on X, formerly Twitter. “It’s time for you to be held accountable for the pain and trauma you cause with posts like these.”
Hours earlier, DeuxMoi shared a post sent in by someone speculating that Swift’s track, “You’re Losing Me,” was inspired by a miscarriage she allegedly suffered while with Alwyn. After Paine’s tweets, the post was deleted.
“Well I make zero dollars from lying… can publicists say the same,” DeuxMoi wrote in another deleted post. “Also, to relate something that is in reference to something that happened years ago to ‘pain & trauma’ after what just happened seems like a poor choice of words. Either way, I apologize to Taylor.”
Swift, 33, has been keeping busy since her split from Alwyn. In addition to her mega-successful Eras Tour — where she recently performed in Brazil — she made a surprise appearance to support Beyonce at her “Renaissance” film premiere in London on Thursday.
In October, Queen Bey did the same when she attended Swift’s concert film, “Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour,” at The Grove in Los Angeles.
Swift has also moved on from Alwyn. She has been linked to Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, 34, since September. She’s attended several of his football games, has cheered him on from his suite alongside his mom, Donna Kelce, and they even made a cameo together on “Saturday Night Live.”
They sealed the deal publicly when he traveled to Argentina to see her perform and she ran up and kissed him after a show backstage.
Last month, she also went viral for changing a lyric to her “Karma” song to honor him.
Instead of, “Karma is the guy on the screen coming straight home to me,” she sang:
“Karma is the guy on the Chiefs coming straight home to me.”
The athlete, for his part, has spoken about her multiple times to the press, recently revealing that his nickname for her is “Tay.”
