From a princess to a queen!
Helena Bonham Carter — who portrayed Princess Margaret in seasons three and four of “The Crown” — came face-to-face with Queen Camilla at the Forward Arts Foundation charity reception on Wednesday.
Carter, 57, met the monarch, 75, at Clarence House to celebrate 30 years of the poetry organization.
The foundation encourages both awareness and the enjoyment of the bart of poetry in the United Kingdom and Ireland.
The “Ocean’s 8” actress was spotted chatting and giggling with the former Duchess of Cornwall.
She then gave a courtesy to Camilla once they exchanged hellos.
Season five of “The Crown” premiered last year and the final series is set to debut its first half on Nov. 16.
Camilla is reportedly a big fan of the royal drama, with a former staffer saying last fall that she is “definitely” tuning into the show.
King Charles’ ex-communication director Kristina Kyriacou appeared on the British chat show “This Morning” at the time: “I think the Queen Consort will have definitely been watching it.”
“I don’t think the King will have the time. I don’t think it’s a program which will tickle his interest,” she said, adding that Camilla “keeps in touch with her family [and] her friends” who are watching it.
However, an insider told author Angela Levin for her 2022 book Camilla: From Outcast to Queen Consort that the sovereign was dismayed at her portrayal on the show.
“When a certain timeline story is revisited by the press, television or film, it causes the [Queen Consort] a lot of stress and she gets very upset,” the insider said.
They went on: “That is the truth but neither she nor [King] Charles will talk about it. The narrative is that she is the wicked woman, where [Princess] Diana is presented as the victim and Camilla as evil.”
The source claimed that Camilla was widely “vilified as a ‘marriage wrecker” following 2020’s season four which dove into the infamous love triangle of the late Princess Diana, Charles and Camilla.
Season four’s Camilla was played by Emerald Fennell and she also got a chance to meet her off-screen idol in March 2022 at a reception to celebrate International Women’s Day.
“I was nervous I might be thrown in the Tower — but so far, so good,” the 38-year-old Oscar winner joked at the event. “[Camilla] has been in the spotlight for a long time and has always weathered it with grace.”
Another cast member of “The Crown,” Dominic West, also got the opportunity to meet the former Mrs. Parker Bowles in 2021.
West, 53, plays a middle-aged Prince Charles in season five and six of the series and recalled in a Radio Times magazine interview published last November the cheeky comment Camilla told him when they met.
When they saw each other at a party, Camilla jokingly called him “Your Majesty.”
West also said that he has crossed paths with Charles several times on previous occasions, as “The Wire” alum is an ambassador of the Prince’s Trust.
“I’ve been in a line to shake his hand a few times and it’s fascinating. It’s very useful to meet the character you’re playing, obviously,” West explained.
