USWNT stars Ashlyn Harris and Ali Krieger have called it quits after nearly four years of marriage.
Harris filed for divorce on Sept. 19, 2023, citing that the marriage is “irretrievably broken,” according to court documents obtained by Page Six.
The former Gotham FC teammates “anticipate” entering a settlement that will “resolve all financial issues,” per the legal petition.
Harris, 37, and Krieger, 39, share their adopted children, 2-year-old daughter Sloane Phillips and 1-year-old son Ocean Maeve.
They also intend to sign a Parenting Plan in order to resolve any child custody-related issues, which requires the estranged couple to participate in a parenting class.
Krieger and Harris, who were on two World Cup-winning USWNT teams together in 2015 and ’19, dated for nearly a decade before they tied the knot on December 28, 2019 in Miami.
The nuptials came nine months after they revealed their engagement, which took place in Clearwater, Fla.
The former goalkeeper and defender met at USWNT training camp in 2010.
“I just found her to be so captivating and always wanted to be around her,” Krieger told Vogue after their wedding. “She’s someone who seemed so confident and comfortable with herself, and I was so attracted to that.”
Harris announced retirement from soccer on social media in November 2022.
Kreiger, who has made 108 appearances for the USWNT, is retiring from Gotham FC at the end of the NWSL season.
