Welcome to Forking Season! HelloFresh and Tinder are teaming up for an epic date night collaboration to help couples get cooking in the kitchen. The meal kit company partnered with the dating app to release “Date Night Delights” recipe series announced on Monday (Nov. 7).
Ahead of the official launch of Cuffing Season, Date Night Delights feature a mixture of customer favorites and new recipes like Beef Tenderloin With Cheddar-Gouda Fondue With Asparagus, Fingerling Potatoes, Apple & Baguette; Lemony Spaghetti With Brussels Sprouts Sprinkled With Toasted Panko & Chives; Rosemary Fig Pork Tenderloin With Kale & Sweet Potato Jumble; Pan-Roasted Chicken & Shallot Sauce With Prosciutto-Wrapped Asparagus & Mashed Potatoes; Grand Cru and Cured Meat Board and (ready-made) White Chocolate Raspberry Swirl Cheesecake.
Each meal includes perfectly portioned ingredients with easy-to-follow recipes (we’ve tested out a few Date Night Delights recipes and can confirm that they’re easy to make).
HelloFresh offers quick and easy recipes and flexible subscription plans starting at just $49 per box. To get started click the link below to pick your plan, choose meal preferences, serving size (two or four people) and select a number of meals per week (choose from two meals up to six meals per week). In addition to the recipe series, HelloFresh and Tinder launched a limited-edition collection of Forking Seasonings available for $14.99 at HelloForkingSeason.com while supplies last. Couples can add some extra spice to the kitchen with sweet and savory, chef-curated spice blend blends: Ignite(cinnamon, cloves, and ginger), Spark(saffron and salt) and Kindle(vanilla and sugar). The spice set comes with tips on how to use the spices in food and drink recipes.
According to data gathered by HelloFresh and Tinder, 81 percent of those surveyed feel that cooking a meal for their partner means the relationship is moving from casual to committed — and that usually happens around the fifth date. Seventy percent of survey respondents believe that cooking with their partner is more intimate than fooling around, 56 percent of those surveyed feel pressure to go all out on dinner dates and nearly a third of respondents feel that cooking together can help lead to long-lasting relationships.
Cooking is also one of the top 20 interests Tinder users add to their profiles and the “Date Night Delights” menu can take some of the pressure off deciding what to cook for dinner dates.
“We were inspired to learn that four out of five Americans agree that a relationship is becoming serious when you start cooking for your partner,” Kirsten Walpert, VP of Brand and Creative, HelloFresh US, said in a press release sent to Billboard. “With food playing such a central role in how couples connect and create memorable moments, we’re excited to be partnering with Tinder to introduce Forking Season and give consumers everything they need to prepare easy and delicious meals at home.”
“When date nights out lead to date nights in, things are getting serious. We know Tinder users are looking for a match to get cozy with this Cuffing Season, from the 96% increase in users talking about ‘Cuffing Season’ in their profile bios. We’ve also found that today’s singles are looking for new date ideas that are more interactive than sitting across from each other in a restaurant,” said Stephanie Danzi, Senior Vice President of Global Marketing at Tinder. “We love this partnership with HelloFresh because these ‘Date Night Delights’ create more opportunities for new couples to get to know each other and unlock a new phase of connection.”
