Before Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers traded barbs with Giants linebacker Jihad Ward, there was some banter with backup quarterback Zach Wilson.
During episode three of “Hard Knocks”, Rodgers was playfully busting Wilson for his signature headband.
“Yeah, put that s–t on. There ya go,’” Rodgers sarcastically said to Wilson on as he put on his headband.
But Wilson threw the outfit shade back at Rodgers in the most recent episode.
“See, you thought everyone would be making fun of me for this, but instead they were making fun of your wired headphones you were wearing,” Wilson said.
Rodgers always has a method behind his madness, though, and seems to prefer to avoid the Bluetooth AirPods.
“What, you mean the ones that are saving my brain from all the harmful EMF emissions?” Rodgers responded. “It’s like my uncle always says, you can’t fix stupid. But good look, though. I’m glad it keeps the sweat out of your eyes.”
Although Reuters does not support this claim made by Rodgers, he is someone who has an unconventional rationale in some spots.
Rodgers’ NFL future hinged on a four-day darkness retreat to “stimulate DMTs,” which can result in hallucinations.
Rodgers may have hallucinated a Lombardi Trophy in Florham Park during that retreat as he decided to call New York home for this season and perhaps beyond.
He hopes to set off what could be a wonderful time for Jets fans as he takes Wilson under his wing and grooms him as his successor for the franchise.
