The daughter of former MLB All-Star Jim Thome wowed the crowd Wednesday at Citizens Bank Park with her rendition of “God Bless America.”
Lila Thome, 20, performed during the seventh-inning stretch of Game 3 of the NLDS series between the Braves and Phillies, in which Philadelphia topped Atlanta, 10-2.
As footage of Lila’s performance circulated on X, formerly known as Twitter, proud mom Andrea Thome thanked a fan for capturing the special moment.
“Thanks to Cindy for shooting this video of our girl! We are so proud. Hope to have the full video tomorrow to share. What a wonderful crowd. Go Phillies!” Andrea posted.
Andrea recapped the family’s memorable night in a separate Instagram post.
“Oh, what a night I’m Philadelphia. Can’t wait to share video of our girl singing God Bless America when I get it. We are so proud. And a big win for the Phitin Phils,” Andrea captioned her post.
Lila is no stranger to performing in front of a crowd.
She sang the national anthem at the Baseball Hall of Fame induction ceremony in Cooperstown, New York, in 2018, when Thome was elected.
Thome played professionally in MLB for 22 seasons, which included two stints with the Phillies.
The former infielder first spent time in Philadelphia from 2003-05 before returning in 2012.
Thome also played for the Chicago White Sox, Minnesota Twins, Los Angeles Dodgers, Baltimore Orioles and Cleveland.
Thome is eighth in MLB history with 612 career home runs, 101 of which came in a Phillies uniform.
He made the Phillies’ Wall of Fame in 2016.
Game 4 of the NLDS gets underway Thursday night, with the Phillies holding a 2-1 series lead.
