Trump needs ‘shock collar’ at hush money trial

He won’t be hushed.

Jimmy Fallon took aim at Donald Trump during “The Tonight Show” host’s opening monologue on Wednesday night.

“April showers bring may flowers,” Fallon began.

“By the way, those are the two more porn stars that will testify in Trump’s hush money case. April Showers, take the stand. You know May Flowers?” he joked, referring to former porn star and director Stormy Daniels, who is at the center of the Trump’s hush money court battle.

Trump has pleaded not guilty to 34 counts of falsifying business records to conceal an alleged six figures worth of payments made to Daniels to cover up an alleged extramarital affair before the 2016 election.

Daniels, 45, became a household name in 2018 when it was reported she had an affair with Trump in 2006 and was paid $130,000 in “hush money” in 2016 to stay quiet, allegedly arranged by Trump’s then-lawyer, Michael Cohen.

Trump, who is running for a second presidential term, denied the affair happened.

In the Peacock documentary “Stormy,” Daniels alleged that sex with Trump was “awful” and said that she feared Trump would have her “killed.”

In his monologue, Fallon added, “Speaking of the hush money case, I read that in an effort to stop Trump from falling asleep in court, his lawyers have been giving him a number of different devices. So far, the only thing that can keep him awake is an iPad playing ‘Bluey,’” he said, referring to the hit children’s show.

Fallon was referring to how Trump appeared to fall asleep during jury selection on the first day of his hush money trial in Manhattan earlier in April.

Fallon went on to joke that Trump’s “lawyers are running out of ideas to keep him awake.”

“They even hired a kindergarten teacher to stand at the front of the courtroom, like ‘eyes on me, eyes on you,’” he went on.

Fallon then segued into a fake commercial for the “Trump shock collar,” touting that it’s a device that will help people who are having trouble staying awake.

“The world’s first human shock collar, disguised as a red necktie!” the faux “commercial” states.

The joke ad ended by saying: “The Trump shock collar — stay woke!”

Fallon isn’t the only comedian to mock this.

“After years of anticipation, the first criminal trial of a former president has begun,” Jon Stewart, 61, sarcastically said on “The Daily Show” last month.

“And by all accounts, it is absolutely riveting,” Stewart added before cutting to a clip of CNN’s trial coverage, where Jake Tapper questioned journalist Maggie Haberman about her earlier report that Trump had been snoozing during jury selection.

“Trump appears to be sleeping. His head keeps dropping down, and his mouth goes slack,” Haberman reported on Day 1 of the trial.

Jimmy Kimmel also savored Day 1 of Trump’s hush money trial during his own late-night show.

“If Biden is Sleepy Joe, I guess that makes you Dozo the Clown,” he quipped.

“Imagine if Joe Biden fell asleep in the court on the first day of his trial,” said Kimmel. “Trump would be calling him ‘Comatose Joe’ … But not old Donny Nappleseed.”
